Doors are unfinished and require fully finishing on site to protect and prevent the ingress of moisture, which can cause warping.
Ledged and braced construction using quality tongue and grooved redwood board
Can be trimmed up to a maximum of 12mm on any edge - any reduction should be removed evenly from each edge
Supplied with ready to paint, stain or varnish
Not suitable for treatment with any type of oil, polish or wax
It is recommended that 3 hinges should be fitted to all doors weighing more than 20kg and doors where large differences of temperature or humidity on opposing faces can be expected. Recessed furniture and locks must not be placed within 76mm (3") of any rail/side joint as this will weaken the door
A natural timber product, a variation in texture, colour and grain can be apparent
Not good. Considering the doors should be 762mm wide. The top was 765 and the bottom 760! Not good when setting out linings to measurements given. Doors are also twisted so two doors dont come together well.

A basic access door for external use.
The door seems soundly made but will need proper preservative treatment to prevent weather damage. The gate is only 40 mm thick as advertised where the bracing is present. Elsewhere its about 15 mm thk.. I see no reason to limit trimming to the specified max. of 12 mm per edge and intend to remove significantly more in order to fit the opening. The weight is not given so one cannot know in advance if 3 hinges are needed. Actual wt probably 10 -15 kg. Summarising the specification is inaccurate and poorly written. (also what is a pine veneer finish? actually looks like clear varnish)
