Broke after 3rd use
Not impressed , decided to buy the electric hulk as I thought this would save me some money in the long run but it broke after only using it for 3 small family jobs. Currently putting a shed base in for my son and it tripped the power to his house. Changing the fuse but still not working, others online have report ...

It's everything I...
It's everything I expected. Because it's electric it's quiet, low maintenance and there are no fumes, though the cables sometimes get in the way but you soon work out how to manage that. The handle thumb screws do shake loose over time so you need to occasionally check them for tightness. At 26kg it's light enough for one person to carry which is good when you are working on your own but that does mean you will need more passes that you would with a heavier machine. Very pleased with this compactor.

Ideal for DIY jobs
Used the Hulk on a 10 Sq metre area of block paving on a slope. Compacted the base very well and left a smooth firm surface. Blocks finished to a good standard also.
Weight of the machine seems heavy enough to compact well while being light enough to handle.
Care does however need to be taken to keep the cable in a safe position, but this is an intrinsic issue with any mains power tool.

Great service and...
Great service and works like a treat. I was not sure whether to get petrol one or electric chose electric and was very surprised how good it was. Highly recommend any evolution tools including there refurbed ones.

Changing the fuse but still not working, others online have reported burnt out wiring inside the switch case so I will look into this as there is definately an electrical fault somewhere.

Excellent tool, does...
Excellent tool, does the job well. Bit difficult to control on hard core lumpy bits but fine once the surface starts to become flat.

Electric compactor
Great diy wacker plate, I have rented professional ones before but this is a lot easier to use and less stressful not having to return in the rental period. Great job on the single driveway I am building. If you follow the instructions and fit the shake proof washers then the knows don't fall off

Good purchase
Absolute amazing compactor for the money. However, its not for the heavy duty projects as its too light. It's great for compacting sands and resin grouts into paving. Can't fault evolution products for dosh.

Great little wacker plate
Great wacker plate! Used my mates one (exactly the same) on occasions for years. Does what it's meant to. As every other buyer I have an issue with the bolts coming loose. Bad design which needs resolving! Still a great wacker!!
