I foolishly wrecked my old mitre saw by trying to cut an oversize piece of wood but it turned out to be a bit of luck in the end as I replaced it with an Evolution. The Evolution is so much better in every respect - the quality of build, its heavier, more powerful and makes wider and more accurate cuts. The most i ...

The rear fence has a slight bow and is therefore not flat. I have tried the set the saw blade square to the rear fence using an engineers square, after completing this I tried a test cut on a 120mm wide board. The cut was out of square on this setting.
I then tried to adjust the rear fence until I did achieve a s ...

Great saw
Bought the 210+ with stand and it's perfect. You can buy cheaper but you will not find better quality at this price.

Very good so far....
Very good so far. Solid feel, clean cut when using the fine wood blade. I tested the mitre angle with a digital inclinometer and it was spot on. Instructions were slightly confusing: telling me to identify right hand and left hand parts which were in fact absolutely identical.

What a great saw
Can not wait until I have built a bench so that I can use the new saw, if it is as good as my existing Evolution saw I will be well pleased,
Have not taken it out of the box yet

I really like this saw...
I really like this saw,it doesn't cut as wide a crosscut as I would like, but
it cuts very cleanly, and I like the laser assistance it gives.I would suggest that you attach it to a vacuum cleaner, because the sawdust
seems to go everywhere but into the little dust bag.But this is niggling,I
love my saw
I bought this saw for fitting joinery - skirtings, architraves, floor boards etc, and for occasional use cutting metal angles and hollow sections. Out of the box it needed a little fine tuning to the setting up, but now it cuts beautifully accurate mitres, angles and square cuts on timber.
I have yet to try the blade on metal sections or nails in timber.
The vertical clamp works quite well, but it gets in the way when the saw is tilted to the left, unless you clamp the 'waste' instead of the workpiece, which does not work well.
If the clamp had a good deal less height that would be a great improvement.
The horizontal clamp unfortunately droops on tightening and tend to lift the workpiece off the table a fraction so cuts are inaccurate.
The dust bag stops the dust flying around the room, but most of it falls out onto and around the saw. I have not tried attaching a vacuum cleaner yet.
All in all the saw is excellent value for money, and could be considerably enhanced by improvement of the accessories.

This is a very good...
This is a very good saw. It is used by a group of young adult learners with learning disabilities. They find it easy to set up and use. the laser line is very useful and assist the learners with setting up accurately. the blade gives a very clean cut.
High accuracy cutting with the LS1018LN/2 is easily achieved using the Laser Marker. Allows for easy cut alignment and can be turned on or off with an independent switch. The linear ball bearing system is engineered to deliver accurate cuts. The Soft Start feature ensures a slow build up of blade speed for a smoother more refined operation. The Electric Brake can stop the saw blade rotation for added safety. A Bevel Range of up to 45 Deg left and right and a Mitre Range of 60 Deg right and 47 Deg left give this Mitre Saw real versatility.
The DeWalt 110V 2305mm Mitre Saw has been constructed with a heavy duty motor that delivers powerful cutting for all types of materials. The XPS Shadow line cut indicator offers fast and accurate alignment of the blade while illuminating the work piece for increased productivity, with no adjustment required.

The new Metabo M class mitre saws for cross cuts / mitre cuts in wood. With new and improved design features including much better dust extraction, better handles for transport, more compact and lightweight, integrated table extensions (detachable for better material support), better precision and durability.
C8FSE 216mm slide compound mitre saw has the rugged power for the toughest cutting jobs.
The C8FSE slide compound mitre saw boasts a powerful 1050 watt motor with 5500rpm blade speed, the 216mm diameter blade delivers an impressive 65mm max depth of cut, innovative twin horizontal rails give an equally impressive 312mm crosscut capacity, whilst a linear ball bearing slide system improves cutting accuracy and control, providing maximum support for large material cuts at any angle.
Positive stops on the mitre and bevel scales allow adjustment & quick set-up of the cutting depth for grooving and rebating applications, allowing accurate and simple setting of bevel angles up to 48 degree both to the left and angles between 0-45 degree left & 0-45 degree right providing maximum versatility.
The C8FSE also features electronic speed control maintaining a consistant rpm whilst cutting, electric brake halting rotation of the blade within seconds preventing unintended cuts, splinter guard for reducing tear out for increased safety and an adjustable pivoting fence for improved stability.
The lightweight, portable 14kg design of the C8FSE makes transportation to and around the worksite easy without compromising on operating power and efficiency. The vibration reducing, comfortable, ergonomic vertical soft grip handle provides maximum comfort and reduces user fatigue.
