Great idea - just a pig to get the old concrete out of the ground before putting these in.
Bolted them to the fence posts - and seem absolutely solid now. Much easier than replacing the whole fence post

An okay experience.
Th product was okay, quite a few moulding bubbles in the mix , so the surface was not very smooth. That said, it but should not affect the strength of the post. The only real downside is that they are quite expensive. With this in mind I would probably buy it again but I would be more likely to shop around. On the ...

Fence saver
I have used these repair spurs many times th support rotten wooden fence posts adding many years to the life of otherwise sound fences. It is important to check the post is sound above ground and that the fence is in generally good condition and you can add many years to the life of a fence. Ensure you dig down far enough, often you will encounter concrete around the wooden Post base it is important to break through that and fit the spur flush with the post to get the best result. Securing the post with postcrete. If the post is reasonably vertical I generally secure the spur to the post first then level support the post then add the post crete. If wooden post and fence are leaning over check you can bring it back to the position you require and either brace it in position before you put the postcrete in or level and concrete the spur in then when it is set bolt post to the spur this avoids the weight of the fence pulling the spur over before the concrete is set.
