The project took 8 weeks to complete with the help of 16 young people, who had previously helped out at other VIY projects - which was great to receive their valuable input and gained knowledge! It was great to learn that eight of those young volunteers gained City & Guilds accreditations, giving them the skills to carry on to further learning and employment.
This partnership was with Edible London, a social enterprise who strive to help people suffering from food poverty, revitalise unused urban areas, and reduce food waste. They will continue the running of this space - educating the young community about healthy eating and growing your own veggies.
