Every single slate was cracked - wrecked my repair job
Ordered these on line and got my wife to drop by to pick them up for me, a pack of five that were strapped together. Only once I was about to use them, did I find that every singe one had a crack in where they had been strapped together so tightly.
This caused me a great deal of inconvenience! Picture the scene - Saturday afternoon, had got the scaffolding up, stripped off the broken slates and repaired the rotten wood - just about to put these on and found every single one was broken. TP now closed of course! So I had to mess about trying to reuse various bits of old reclaimed slates, together with small bits cut from the new broken slates, to bodge the roof back together. TP of course only refunded me for the unused broken ones I took back, and not the broken ones I was forced to use!
The lesson is - if you buy from TP check what you're given before you get into the job. Should not have to do this with a reliable supplier - they shouldn't issue things that are broken. Better yet, go any buy what you need somewhere else. Won't be going back to TP if I can avoid it.
